Near Capo Testa Grossa and the Quaglietto rock, at a depth of about 25 metres, you can find the statue of a Madonna surrounded by shoals of red prawns. Another recommended dive is at the Scoglio della Sirenetta, a rock characterised by a vertical wall that slopes from a depth of 16 to 40 metres. Here, sulphur fumaroles colour the surrounding sand and muddy the waters.
However, going a few metres further down, along the wall, large scorpion fish, Mediterranean fanworms, crinoids, sea sponges and starlet cushion stars peep out from between the rocks. Shoals of anthias and damselfish will follow you on your way. This dive has a medium-high degree of difficulty.
